बहुशाखा ह्यनन्ताश्च बुद्धयोऽव्यवसायिनाम् ॥ ४१ ॥
हे अर्जुन! जो लोग अपने लक्ष्य के प्रति दृढ़निश्चयी होते हैं, उनकी बुद्धि एक ही दिशा में स्थिर और एकाग्र होती है; किंतु जो दुविधा में रहते हैं और जिनका मन स्थिर नहीं होता, उनकी बुद्धि अनंत शाखाओं में बँटी रहती है।

यह श्लोक हमें 'एकाग्रता' (Focus) की शक्ति सिखाता है। भगवान कृष्ण कहते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति किसी लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने का निश्चय कर लेता है, उसकी बुद्धि एक ही दिशा में स्थिर होती है—जैसे अर्जुन की दृष्टि केवल मछली की आँख पर थी। इसके विपरीत, जिन लोगों का कोई निश्चित लक्ष्य नहीं होता या जो दुविधा में रहते हैं, उनकी बुद्धि अनंत शाखाओं में बँटी रहती है। वे कभी यह करते हैं, कभी वह, और अंत में कहीं नहीं पहुँच पाते।
जीवन का सार: यदि आप सफल होना चाहते हैं, तो अपनी ऊर्जा को सौ अलग-अलग दिशाओं में बिखेरने के बजाय, उसे एक ऊंचे लक्ष्य पर केंद्रित करें। भटकाव ही असफलता का मूल कारण है।

However, the minds of those who lack a clear vision or willpower are "many-branched" and endlessly distracted. In the modern world, we call this "analysis paralysis" or being "distracted by too many options."
Success does not come from doing a thousand things halfway; it comes from doing one great thing with total devotion. A scattered mind creates a scattered life. To achieve mastery, you must cut down the "many branches" of useless desires and focus your entire mental energy on your core mission.
