नमामि दुर्गां महतीं प्रयागवासिनीं शिवाम्।
महिषासुरसंहर्त्रीं इन्द्रियाणां नियामिकाम्॥
कामबन्धनमुक्तोऽहं भवेयं मातुरनुग्रहात्।
चित्तस्थैर्यं च लभेयं गिरिराज इवाचलम्॥
अर्थ (Meaning):
I bow down to the great Goddess Durga, who resides in Prayag,
The destroyer of Mahishasura and the controller of the senses.
May I be freed from the bondage of desire by Mother's grace,
And attain stability of mind, unshakeable like the king of mountains.
