अहङ्कारविमूढात्मा कर्ताहमिति मन्यते ॥ २७ ॥
वास्तव में समस्त कार्य प्रकृति के गुणों द्वारा किए जाते हैं; परंतु अहंकार से मोहित अंतःकरण वाला अज्ञानी 'मैं कर्ता हूँ' ऐसा मानता है।

यह श्लोक हमें 'अहंकार' के भ्रम से मुक्त करता है। कृष्ण कहते हैं कि असल में सारे कार्य प्रकृति के गुणों (सत्व, रज, तम) द्वारा किए जाते हैं। लेकिन जिसका मन अहंकार से मोहित है, वह अज्ञानी व्यक्ति मानता है कि— "मैं कर्ता हूँ" (I am the doer)। जीवन का सबक यह है कि जब हम सफलता का सारा श्रेय खुद लेते हैं, तो असफलता का सारा बोझ भी हमें ही उठाना पड़ता है। हम केवल एक माध्यम (instrument) हैं। जब आप यह समझ लेते हैं कि आप ब्रह्मांड की एक विशाल शक्ति का हिस्सा मात्र हैं, तो आपके काम का बोझ खत्म हो जाता है और थकान की जगह आनंद ले लेता है।

This verse reveals the Illusion of Agency. Krishna explains that all activities are actually carried out by the modes of material nature (biology, environment, and ingrained habits). However, the individual whose mind is deluded by ego thinks, "I am the one doing this." The life lesson is about reducing performance anxiety. When you believe you are the sole cause of your success, you become paralyzed by the fear of failure. By realizing you are an instrument of a larger system, you can perform your best without the crushing weight of the "I."

Yes true from jñana point of view, but those who walk on karmayoga's path think of themselves as doer. Bhagvadgita is a bit like ashtadhyayi(though far less complex) a lot of shlokas are connected with each other forming a complete picture of a path of life.
