विवेकहीन, श्रद्धाहीन और संशययुक्त मनुष्य का निश्चय ही पतन हो जाता है; संशययुक्त मनुष्य के लिए न यह लोक है, न परलोक है और न ही सुख है।

यह श्लोक 'संशय' (Doubt) के खतरे के बारे में है। कृष्ण कहते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति अज्ञानी है, जिसमें श्रद्धा नहीं है, और जो हमेशा संशय (शक) में डूबा रहता है, उसका पतन निश्चित है। संशय करने वाले व्यक्ति के लिए न तो यह लोक (संसार) है, न परलोक, और न ही कहीं सुख है। जीवन का सबक यह है कि 'संदेह' एक मानसिक बीमारी की तरह है जो आपकी निर्णय लेने की क्षमता को लकवा मार देती है। यदि आप अपनी क्षमता, अपने लक्ष्य या अपने मार्ग पर लगातार शक करते रहेंगे, तो आप कभी भी पूरे मन से काम नहीं कर पाएंगे। विश्वास के बिना सफलता और सुख दोनों असंभव हैं।

This verse highlights the Paralysis of Doubt. Krishna explains that the ignorant, the faithless, and the "doubting soul" (samśayātmā) go to destruction. For the one who is habitually doubtful, there is happiness neither in this world nor in the next. The life lesson is about Conviction. While healthy questioning is part of learning, "chronic doubt" is a state where you are unable to commit to any path. It leaves you in a perpetual state of "limbo." Without the courage to believe in something—whether it’s a career path, a relationship, or a spiritual truth—you cannot experience the depth of joy or achievement.
