विक्रमार्जितसत्त्वस्य स्वयमेव मृगेन्द्रता ॥
जंगल में सिंह का न तो राज्याभिषेक किया जाता है और न ही कोई संस्कार; वह अपने पराक्रम से अर्जित शक्ति के बल पर स्वयं ही राजा बन जाता है।

यह सुभाषित 'स्वावलंबन' और 'पुरुषार्थ' की पराकाष्ठा है। जंगल में सिंह का न तो कोई राज्याभिषेक (Coronation) करता है और न ही कोई औपचारिक संस्कार। वह अपनी शक्ति, अपने साहस और अपने पराक्रम (विक्रम) से स्वयं ही 'मृगेन्द्रता' (पशुओं का राजा होना) प्राप्त कर लेता है। जीवन का सबक यह है कि दुनिया आपको वह स्थान नहीं देगी जिसकी आप इच्छा करते हैं, बल्कि वह स्थान देगी जिसे आप अपने कौशल से 'अर्जित' (Earn) करते हैं। असली योग्यता किसी सर्टिफिकेट या पदवी की मोहताज नहीं होती; आपकी क्षमता ही आपका सबसे बड़ा प्रमाण है।

This verse defines the Sovereignty of Merit. In the forest, no one performs a coronation ceremony or a formal ritual to declare the lion as king. Through his own prowess (Vikrama) and inherent strength (Sattva), he naturally attains the status of the "King of Beasts." The life lesson is: True authority is not "given" by an external body; it is "claimed" through excellence. Do not wait for a title, a promotion, or a formal "nod" to start leading or performing at your best. When your skills and courage reach a certain level, the world has no choice but to recognize your sovereignty.
