कथं क्षेत्रेऽद्वेषोऽस्ति इति वस्त्राणि कृत्वा अपृच्छम् ।
कर्म अकृतास्ति सोपनमर्गे यस्य कर्मफलहेत्री सा सहवासिन्याः ॥
परकर्माकृत्वा किम् मम प्रश्नस्य तद् उत्तरम् इति अमन्यम् ।
कर्म विश्वे भवति सुखदुःखाभ्यां च यद्दुःखात्तद्द्विष्टः ॥
अतः! क्षेत्रजकर्मनो द्वेषः दुःखद्विष्टवतः ततः॥
why is there hate in the field? thus I was thinking while folding clothes.
that work undone in the stairwell, its creator is my housemate.
not doing anothers work, "what, is that the answer to my question?" I thought.
action in the universe happens from either good-feeling or bad-feeling, and what is from the bad feeling is hated.
There it is! The hate from that action born of the field comes about because bad-feelings are objects of hate!
