॥ परिभासा । सर्व साङ्ख्या उन्नीता शून्यं एको भवति ॥
A definition: all numbers raised to the power of 0 are 1.
॥ सर्व साङ्ख्या उन्नीता शून्यं एको भवति किं? तद् निर्देश्यम् ॥
Are all numbers raised to the power of 0 1? Yes, that is the definition.
॥ आं परिभासायाः ॥
॥ निर्देशस्यसत्यता तस्यनिवेदनसत्यतामात्रा निर्दिशति -- प्रत्यावर्त्मानपरिभासा॥
The truth-value of a (designation to a ) statement is contained in the truth-value of its statement -- recursive definition.
॥ याभ्यां निर्देशाभ्यां अन्यतरः सत्यासत्ययोर् इतरः समो भवति तयोः समानार्थतास्ति ॥
Of two statements, the one being true or false, the other the same, then these two are called equivalent.
॥ निर्देशस्य शब्दार्थाः परिभासासमानार्थाः सत्यता ॥
A statement whose words meanings are equivalent to their definitions is true.
