Animals are bound by Prakṛti (Nature). Their toxicity is highly localized. Because you know exactly where the poison is, you know exactly which part of the animal to avoid. However, a दुर्जनः (Durjana - a wicked human) uses their free will to be malicious. Their toxicity is not biological; it is psychological (Mānasika Viṣa).
It infects their thoughts, their speech, and their actions. Because their toxicity is Sarvāṅga (holistic/everywhere), there is no "safe zone" when dealing with them.
Are you dealing with "Toxic" people?
Thousands of years ago, Acharya Chanakya gave us the ultimate warning about human behavior using the science of toxicology. He observed a fundamental difference between dangerous animals and dangerous humans:
"A snake's venom is only in its fangs. A scorpion's venom is only in its tail. Because their poison is localized, you can safely handle them if you know what to avoid. But a wicked, malicious person is completely filled with venom from head to toe."
The Modern Lesson: In life and at the workplace, you might think you can "manage" a toxic person by avoiding certain topics or tip-toeing around their bad moods. Chanakya warns us that this is a dangerous illusion. A truly toxic person doesn't just have a "bad temper" (a localized flaw); their malice infects their emails, their gossip, their decisions, and their entire presence.
You can safely catch a snake by the neck, or a scorpion by the stinger, but there is no safe way to handle a toxic person. The only solution is absolute distance!
