Can the market take away your true worth?
In today's volatile world, people live in constant fear of economic crashes, layoffs, and changing markets. But thousands of years ago, the great philosopher Bhartṛhari wrote the ultimate verse on career resilience using the metaphor of a Swan:
"Destiny can get angry and destroy the Swan's beautiful lotus pond. But even Destiny does not have the power to steal the Swan's innate, brilliant skill of separating pure milk from water!"

    The Modern Lesson:
Your "Lotus Pond" is your corner office, your job title, or your current business platform. "Destiny" is the market, the economy, or sheer bad luck. Yes, a bad market can easily take away your job or your wealth.

But your "Swan's Skill" is your education, your core competencies, your problem-solving ability, and your specialized knowledge. No market crash, no boss, and no bad luck can EVER confiscate your actual skills! If you have true expertise, you will simply fly to another pond and thrive again. Build your skills, because true talent is bulletproof!
